The Musicians: Lynn Newdome, violinist
Lynn has a Master of Music degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Colorado. She has played with the Boston Pops, Hartford Symphony, Springfield Symphony, and many other fine orchestras. Lynn teaches violin and chamber music at the Hilltown Cooperative Public Charter School and her private studio in Northampton. www.ViolynnStudio.com
Kaila Graef, violinist
Kaila holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Peabody Institute of Music and a Master of Music from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has performed locally with the Pioneer Valley Symphony and Springfield Symphony. Kaila teaches Suzuki and traditional violin at her home studio in Amherst. www.kgviolin.com
Wendi Melnik, violist
Wendi is the Principal Violist for the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Loyola University. She played with the Sarasota Orchestra, the Florida West Coast Symphony Chamber Orchestra and the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. She teaches private violin and viola lessons at her studio in Deerfield.
Phil Helzer, cellist
Phil is the Principal Cellist of the Pioneer Valley Symphony and the Arcadia Baroque Orchestra, and also plays with the Albany Symphony. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory and Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University. Phil teaches cello at his private studio in Amherst.
